Uploading files to RiboGalaxy with FileZilla

Large files can be uploaded to RiboGalaxy with a FileZilla FTP client. You will need to have already created your own account on RiboGalaxy to be able to use this upload method. FileZilla can be freely obtained from https://filezilla-project.org/.
Once you have installed the client, open the FileZilla application and at the top right hand side you will see text boxes (see attachment) to fill in as follows:
Host: ribogalaxy.ucc.ie Username: your RiboGalaxy username Password: your RiboGalaxy password

Then press enter or click on Quickconnect and a connection should be established.
Navigate to the appropriate directory where your file/s are located in the local site area on left hand side. Drag and drop the files from your local site to the remote site. Once the file/s are uploaded, go back to your RiboGalaxy browser and choose Upload File from the Get Data menu. You should now see your uploaded file/s and be able to transfer them to a history.
