does GWIPS-viz display the actual reads mapped onto the genome?
Hi,

I wonder whether it is possible to see the actual reads (the actual short output sequences generated by your favorite alignment tool) displayed onto the genome. This is possible in IGV and IGB, where you can display all the read info by placing the cursor on it. I find this most helpful in order to learn about the distribution of read lengths, presence of mismatches, etc

best,

Antón

RE: does GWIPS-viz display the actual reads mapped onto the genome?
Hi Antón,

Currently GWIPS-viz does not provide the raw sequenced reads of the alignments.

However, we will keep this in mind for future functionality incorporation into GWIPS-viz.

Thanks for your suggestion,
Audrey
