Why is ribosomal rRNA depletion optional for riboseq protocols
Hi everyone,

First of all, just want to say that the Ribogalaxy platform has been very useful! I am in the process of optimising my Ribo-seq experimental protocol and I noted some papers/protocols do not incorporate a rRNA depletion step when extracting their RPFs.

This may be a silly question, but I was wondering why is this the case and what kind of information can still be gathered if you do not deplete rRNA?

Thanks
